Medical Reunion 2022

October 28-30, 2022

About the Medical Reunion

Alumni, friends and family gather annually to reconnect with each other and Georgetown. Medical Reunion will include three days of social activities, educational lectures, tours, family events, and plenty of time to reminisce with old and new friends alike. We will be bringing together three cycles of classes to reminisce, reconnect, and reunite. You don’t want to miss this event! All classes ending in “0/5,” “1/6,” and “2/7” and celebrating a 5th-50th reunion will have a milestone specific celebration.

COVID-19 Information

All attendees of Medical Reunion Weekend 2022 events must be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccination (i.e., a primary series, and when eligible, an additional dose) or attest to having a religious or medical exemption. You can submit your proof of vaccination via the link provided in your confirmation email at the end of registration. Current Georgetown University students do not need to re-submit their proof of vaccination to attend Medical Reunion Weekend events.

    • Alumni Cup: The Alumni Cup is awarded to the class with the largest reunion gift total.
    • Dean’s Cup: The Dean’s Cup is awarded to the class with the largest percent participation in the class gift.
    • Legacy Cup: The Legacy Cup is awarded to the class with the highest percentage of alumni who are members of the Legacy Society (by making a planned gift).

  • Warwick Evans Society

The Warwick Evans Society was named for the first medical graduate of Georgetown University. The society, formed in 1991, provides financial aid to students and supports new technology and curriculum enhancements for the School of Medicine. Donors who give $1,000 or more in support of the Medical School Annual Fund are members of the Warwick Evans Society.

For more information, call the GUMC Engagement & Annual Giving Office at 202-687-6673.

  • Loyalty Society

Loyal donors are the cornerstone of Georgetown’s success, providing the means by which Georgetown can carry out its mission of education women and men in service to others. In recognition of this important commitment, the Loyalty Society honors alumni giving to Georgetown with various degrees of loyalty- from our Charter members, who are just beginning their lifelong commitment to annual giving, to our Lifetime supporters, who have given to the university for 20 or more years. Learn about the benefits of being a Loyalty Society member.

For more information, call the GUMC Engagement & Annual Giving Office at 202-687-6673.

  • Legacy Society

The Georgetown Legacy Society was established to recognize alumni and friends who have included a gift for Georgetown in their estate plans. These gifts take many forms including simple bequests by will, gift annuities and charitable trusts. Many of these plans offer substantial financial and tax saving benefits, often complementing an individual’s overall estate plans. All are greatly appreciated and help to ensure the tradition of excellence at Georgetown for future generations.

Weekend Planning

Hotel
Georgetown University has arranged special room rates at the hotels. Check here for more information >

Parking
On-campus parking is in high demand over the course of the weekend and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the SW Quad parking garage. Medical Reunion staff are unable to validate parking for attendance at the weekend’s events.

Taxis are an easy and convenient way to get to and from area airports and hotels. We recommend using taxi and shuttle transportation as much as possible. Taxis can be picked up at the Georgetown University Conference Center (Leavey Center) or at Healy Gates.

Babysitting Services
White House Nannies is Washington, D.C.’s premier childcare placement agency and offers temporary childcare services. For more information, visit whitehousenannies.com or call 800-266-9024.

Dine With a Doc (DWAD)

Throughout the weekend we are encouraging Alumni to participate in our DWAD program. DWAD is an opportunity for School of Medicine students to attend meals or small gatherings hosted by the School of Medicine alumni to learn more about their specialties, career paths, and personal experiences. Please reach out to msaa@georgetown.edu to learn more about hosting this weekend and in the future!
